Q & A with NuView Systems CEO

NuView Systems CEO, Shafiq Lokhandwala, recently contributed adescribe the image guest post to Daily HR Solutions for their Expert Q & A series. Shafiq spoke on HRIS trends he sees in the industry, tips on selecting the right HRIS systems for your organization, and where he sees the future of HRIS.

Shafiq highlighted the increased adoption of global systems of record as a major trend in the HR industry, "as American businesses look outside the U.S. and expand into foreign markets in order to drive profitability and growth, many are finding it difficult to keep track of their data across multiple office locations and cultures" . This creates a greater need for companies to have a single system of record in order to more effectively manage a global workforce.

When implementing a new system, Shafiq believes it is important that HR professionals "make sure that decisions about which HCM / HRMS products to license or rent are reality-based decisions, generally leading to “no major surprises / no major disappointments” post-implementation".

HCM/HRMS solutions can help organizations more effectively manage and support their workforces around the globe, but when the process is not fully analyzed, the business outcomes initially expected from these solutions can get translated into a much more narrow range of tangible business benefits.

Looking to the future of HRIS systems, Shafiq highlighted the important role that HRIS systems will play in business intelligence – not only supporting BI, but becoming an integral part of this vital business priority.

He also state that we will see newer technologies and processes emerge as elements of HRIS systems — social media, mobile devices and just in time information to name just a few.
