Highlights of Recent NuView Systems Survey - 2010 Challenges, Hiring Plans and Health Care Reform Impact

Surveying its cross-industry client base, NuView Systems found that more than 64% percent of Companies reported that they did not have a reduction in force during 2010.
-Findings also showed that 37.5 % of companies reported that their hiring status for 2011 will stay the same with 28.5 % reporting a plan to increase hiring in 2011.
-When asked what challenges did the economy pose for your company in 2010, a reduction in sales/ revenue topped the list with 36.73% followed by a reduction in spending with 14.29%. Employee Moral effects were among the lowest reported at 2 %.
-On the topic of The Health Care Reform, the survey findings showed that companies are talking about the impact of the new legislation both at the HR level as well as the C-suite level.
-When asked what that impact will have on your company for the 2011 benefit year, 21% of respondents said they will wait and see as well as increase education on what it all means. Closely following those responses were passing on higher deductibles and higher premiums to employees at 18% and 16%.
-Given the above results, 53% of companies are saying that will have no impact on staffing/hiring in 2011.
