THE ISSUE • Baker Hostetler is constantly looking for ways to improve management of its complex benefits structure and various unique elements of the legal industry. They were looking for a self-service portal with a user-friendly feel. They also wanted to be able to maintain the system in-house.
THE SOLUTION • Baker Hostetler decided to go with NuViewHR because of the system’s ease of customization. Many systems accommodate user-defined fields, but Baker Hostetler felt that NuViewHR took this capacity to the next level. By allowing users to add their own fields wherever necessary, this enabled them to build entire tables and forms without having to ask their IT departments for assistance. The firm also noted that the open enrollment process was easy and intuitive. Like most firms in the legal industry, Baker Hostetler has many unique data points that they track. Therefore, it is crucial to be able to store this information and have the ability to easily report on key data.

THE RIGHT CHOICE • With the ease of creating their own user-defined fields, Baker Hostetler has been able to create an additional 20 forms for use in their production system and has also modified many other existing forms. Integrating custom elements into the structure of the system is a great feature for the firm and has made the reporting process much easier.
