NuViewHR Earns Positive Results on 2011 Plynt Security Audit

On July 26, 2011 NuView Systems, Inc. received positive results on a security audit of NuViewHR Version 4.15 done by Plynt, a security testing, verification, and certification company.  “This audit tells us that the product is secure and is not vulnerable to the typical hacking abilities.  It is nice to know that we have been following secure coding guidelines,” said Srinath Narasimhan, Vice President of IT and Development at NuView.  Having a safe product is paramount to NuView’s success.   Clients entrust NuView with their critical and private employee data all over the world.  It is difficult to achieve a perfect security audit in the software industry, and NuView is proud of the accomplishment.

NuView is extremely pleased with these results and is thrilled to share them with their clients and the HR Technology industry.  Plynt analyzed the company’s software on several elements.  The first was the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top 10, an industry initiative for web application security.  In order to have positive results from OWASP, Plynt audits the company based on the ten most common attacks that succeed against web applications.  NuViewHR passed all ten with flying colors.  Plynt also conducted a Threat Profile for the company.  The findings were impeccable.  Even though NuViewHR met all of the established criteria for Plynt’s standards, the company has a few components to work on for the next audit and knows that improvements are always necessary.

NuView understands the concern of companies that outsource their HR and Payroll data to a third party and takes this trust very seriously.  The team has worked arduously to maintain a system that does not take shortcuts and is confident that their product is authentic, restricted, legitimate, and controlled.  Having a safe status means that NuView’s software protects clients against malicious files, unprotected data settings, or high-risk applications.  Given the results of this audit and the diligence that the team has put forth in creating a safe and secure product, NuView is confident that they are able to give clients peace of mind.  “In today’s world, hacking is a big concern,” said Narasimhan.  “NuView is ahead of other software companies.  This third party audit proves it.”
